The EnvHistUA Research Group is pleased to announce the call for papers for the conference “Between the Local and the Global: Unpacking Environmental History of Ukraine” to be held on 25-26 September 2024 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Application deadline: 15 May 2024.

The first conference under the Sustaining Ukrainian Scholarship (SUS) program is organized by our partner institution, New Europe College Bucharest, and will be held in Bucharest on the 14th of March, within its premises. It will be in hybrid form and will bring together representatives of the founders of SUS – CAS and NEC institutes, as well as the other parties, involved in the making of the program - University of Sankt Gallen, and our donor VolkswagenStfiftung, our Ukrainian fellows and their colleagues, Dr. Katherine Younger, Research Director: Ukraine in European Dialogue at The Institute for Human Sciences (IWM), and the special guests of the event – prominent Ukrainian authors Andrey Kurkov and Andriy Lyubka.
