Halyna Bushko is an Associate Professor at the Department of Slavic Philology at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and holds a PhD in Philology. She successfully defended her PhD dissertation in 2012 on the topic “Ivan Shishmanov in Bulgarian-Ukrainian Literary Relations of the Late 19th – First Quarter of the 20th Century.” Her areas of professional expertise include Bulgarian philology, the history of Bulgarian literature, the history of Ukrainian literature, and translation studies. Halyna Bushko actively participates in international academic cooperation and academic mobility programs, including delivering lectures at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (May 2023, February 2026).
