Nicolae Drăgușin is researcher at the “Elie Wiesel” National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania. He holds a PhD in Philosophy (2013, Romanian Academy) and he is PhD student in Political Science (2020-present, University of Bucharest). He holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (2008, European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights from Venice) and Religious Studies – Texts and Traditions (2014, University of Bucharest). He is BA in Political Science (2008, University of Bucharest), Orthodox Theology (2012, University of Bucharest) and Law (2017, “Nicolae Titulescu” University from Bucharest). He published scientific studies and review articles in Holocaust-studii și cercetări, Studii teologice, Sfera politicii, Revista Polis, Revista de Filosofie, Mediteranean Journal of Human Rights, Review of Ecumenical Studies. He was „Andrei Scrima” Fellow of the Institut für Ökumenische Forschung Hermanstadt at the „Lucian Blaga” University from Sibiu (2020).

Research interests: Jewish-Christian relations in Romania and Eastern Europe (1918-1945), Holocaust in Romania, Church – State relations in Romania and Eastern Europe during 20th Century, Citizenship in Romania (1918-1948).
