Oleksandra Osadcha is an art historian and curator. She has been curating exhibition projects since 2008. She took her PhD courses at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, and received her doctoral degree in 2021 from the Lviv National Academy of Arts with a thesis on the topic “Representing Christian Tradition in the Ukrainian Art of the Late 20th – 21st Century.”
In 2018 she became the curator and researcher of the Museum of Kharkiv School of Photography (MOKSOP), focusing on the preservation and research of late Soviet and contemporary Ukrainian photography. From 2017 till 2022, Osadcha was a senior lecturer at the Department of Theory and History of Arts at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Since 2022 she has been teaching a course on the history of photography at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture.
March 2022-March 2024 Osadcha was a postdoctoral fellow at the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History, working on the photographic donation by Hans Belting.
