The new Memorandum of Understanding between the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science and the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation of the Swiss Confederation was signed on 17 December 2024. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Education and Science Prof. Galin Tsokov and the Ambassador of Switzerland H. E. Raymund Furrer.
The Memorandum is a four-year extension of the existing programme implemented by the Centre for Advanced Study Sofia to support young Bulgarian scientists and scientists from the Bulgarian diaspora.
