Kim Holleman is an interdisciplinary artist working at the cross sections of art, architecture and the environment. Holleman attended The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York, and lived and exhibited in New York for 20 years before joining MIT Media Lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Visiting Scholar, Resident Artist, and Research Affiliate from 2013-2017. Kim Holleman now resides in Bulgaria where she continues her work as an artist in the Artist-in-Residence Program at Business Park Sofia. In 2023 Holleman competed to represent Bulgaria in the Venice Architectural Biennale, and has recently presented her work at Urban Spaces Design Build Academy Sofia/Berlin. In 2023-2024, Holleman looks forward to undertaking an expansive project focusing on Art, Utopian Architecture and Critical Research in her role as a Landis & Gyr Artist Fellow at The Centre for Advanced Study in Sofia.
