Lubomira Popova is an assistant professor PhD at the European studies department at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Her PhD project is dedicated to the Bulgarian preparation for EU membership as part of the process of EU enlargement to Central and Eastern Europe. The focus of her scientific work is on the dynamic and agency-driven character of the enlargement interaction. Her research interests include postcommunist transformation in CEE; preparation for EU membership; EU enlargement policy.
