It raises fundamental questions concerning the intellectual contribution and responsibility of those local and international actors (scholars, experts, think-tanks, NGOs, public intellectuals, etc.) who devised roadmaps for the transition to liberal democracy and market economy, and the interplay of these roadmaps and the realities \u201con the ground\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This 1st workshop will serve to discuss the individual research proposals of the junior scholars and further accommodate their agenda with the thematic and methodological focus of the project, as well as outline the work of the
