Pavel Pavlovitch works and publishes in the fields of history of the Arabs before Islam, methodology of studying the early Islam, early-Islamic law and exegesis, and development of the early criticism of Muslim traditions (<em>\u1e25ad\u012bth<\/em>). He is a contributor to <em>Encyclopaedia of Islam Three<\/em>. His recent publications include the monograph <em>Approaches to The Study of Early Islam (7th\u20138th century). Method and history<\/em> (Sofia University Press, 2017; in Bulgarian) and the articles \u201cKar\u012bma bint A\u1e25mad al-Marwaziyya and the Transmission of Mu\u1e25ammad b. Ism\u0101\u02bf\u012bl al-Bukh\u0101r\u012b\u2019s al-J\u0101mi\u02bf al-\u1e62a\u1e25\u012b\u1e25\u201d (Cracow: Jagiellonian University Press, 2020) and \u201cThe Life and Works of <em>Ab\u016b al-\u1e24usayn \u02bfAbd al-B\u0101q\u012b b.
