In 2012-2013 she was an M. Alison Frantz Fellow at the Gennadius Library in Athens. Her research focuses on 18th and 19th century European-Ottoman encounters in Southeastern Europe and the ways in which they shaped mutual political representations, diplomatic vocabulary and imperial alliances.
