Tsachev and company&#8221; and the Tapchileshtov Brothers"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Please note: this event is in Bulgarian!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We would like to invite you to the upcoming lecture, part of the seminar \u201cEconomic and Social History of Bulgaria: The Future through the Past Culture.\u201d The discusssion series continues with a lecture by <strong>Dr Veselin Goranchev<\/strong> on the topic of \u201c<em>Business Relations between the Trading Company &#8220;Hadzhi Mincho h. Tsachev and company&#8221; and the Tapchileshtov Brothers.\u201d<\/em> The event will take place at the Centre for Advanced Study Sofia on <strong>Tuesday, 31 March 2026, at 17:00.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Abstract: <span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In its main part, the presentation on the topic is based on information extracted from archival documents, most of which are prepared in Greek.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The earliest of them are from 1848. The information they contain gives reason to assume that the beginning of the business relations between the company &#8220;Hadzhi Mincho h. Tsachev and company&#8221; and the Tapchileshtov brothers was established at least in 1847. Contacts between the same business entities continued until the spring of 1855. The exchange of goods between the company &#8220;Hadzhi Mincho h. Tsachev&#8221; and the Tapchileshtov brothers was bilateral.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It includes a number of raw materials and goods: metals (mainly copper), skins, raw silk, animal fats, caviar, coffee, etc. The Tapchileshtov brothers (mainly Hr. Tapchileshtov) provided serious assistance to Hadzhi Mincho h.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Tsachev (respectively of the company &#8220;Hadji Mincho h.
